Joshua D. Harlan is the founder and managing partner of Harlan Capital Partners. He has more than 20 years of experience in private market investing, portfolio management, and investment banking.

Prior to founding Harlan Capital in 2010, Mr. Harlan was a portfolio manager and a member of the private markets investment committee at OPTrust, which manages one of Canada’s largest pension funds.

Previously, Mr. Harlan was a director in the investment banking group at Allen & Company, in New York, focused on media, entertainment, and technology companies.

Mr. Harlan received his AB in philosophy from Harvard College, a master’s degree from Balliol College, Oxford, and a JD degree from Yale Law School. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
